This photograph, taken during the Nigerian Civil War (1967–1970), captures Colonel Benjamin Adekunle, popularly known as “The Black Scorpion,” standing at the far left. With him are Sunny Tuoyo, Godwin Ally, Yemi Alabi, Kunle Elegbede, and Alimi Ogunkanmi. The picture was taken in May 1968 in Port Harcourt, shortly after the city was captured from retreating Biafran forces.
