A GMP spokesperson said: “The body of a man in his 50s was sadly found on Werneth [Hall] Road at 6:45am on Friday (November 7, 2025) – it is believed he died from natural causes.”
Part of the street was taped off while a protective screen had been placed on the pavement on Friday morning.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said one fire engine attended the scene shortly before 7.45am to assist police.
