South African police are probing shocking allegations against Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, the daughter of ex-President Jacob Zuma, and two others. She’s accused of tricking 17 men into joining Russia’s war in Ukraine, allegedly recruiting them as would-be bodyguards for her father’s uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party. Her stepsister, Nkosazana Bongamini Zuma-Mncube, claims the men were sent to Russia and later deployed to the front lines of the war. Zuma-Sambudla hasn’t responded to the accusations. She’s already facing trial for allegedly inciting deadly riots in South Africa in 2021. Earlier this month, President Cyril Ramaphosa’s office said it had “received distress calls for assistance to return home from 17 South African men, ages 20 to 39, who are trapped in the war-torn Donbas.” #DWAfrica
